The games
Noriento contains six pointing games: North, Cardinals, Places, Moon, Sun and Planets. Each asks you to aim your phone at something you cannot see — true north, a distant city, the moon below the horizon — then scores your guess in degrees of error. North and Cardinals are free forever.
Free forever
- North — the daily ritual. One guess at true north, scored in degrees.
- Cardinals — east, south or west, rotating one per day.
In the subscription
One premium game is free to everyone each day, rotating. The rest come with the $1/month founder plan.
- Places — point at Tokyo, Mecca, or wherever the day picks. Needs your location.
- Moon — the moon's real azimuth right now, whether or not you can see it.
- Sun — at night this means pointing down through the earth.
- Planets — Venus, Jupiter, Saturn and Mars take turns.
One rule across all six
Every game is the same shape: compute where the target really is, compare it to where you pointed, and report the gap. Only the target changes. That is why the score means the same thing in every game — degrees between your intuition and the world.
Questions
Which Noriento games are free?
North and Cardinals are free forever with no account. On top of that, one premium game — Places, Moon, Sun or Planets — is free to every player each day on a rotation, so you can try all of them without subscribing.
How many guesses do I get?
One scored guess per game per day. Places lets you keep practising after your daily guess, but only the first attempt counts toward your streak and accuracy.
